Welcome to the website for Dr. James I. Robertson, Jr.
At one time, "Dr. Bud" had one of
the nation's largest private collections of Civil War books. The bulk of the 7000- volume collection has been donated to Virginia Tech and Randolph-Macon College.
"Virginia is the Mother State."
Under Dr. Robertson's leadership, the Commonwealth of Virginia in March 2015 adopted "Our Great Virginia" as the traditional state song.
